William K. Carter, 66, of Princeton, Iowa passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at his home.

A memorial visitation will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa. Memorials may be made in care of the family.

William was born on November 20, 1958, the son of Kenneth K. and Lowenne R. (Osterberg) Carter. William enjoyed many things but nothing brought him greater joy than his guitar and spending time with his loving family.

Those left to honor his memory are his son, James (Heather) Carter; his grandchildren, Erica Voshell, Anthony Carter, Veronica Carter, Devin Engle, Erica Engle and Alex Engle; six great-grandchildren; his sister, Jolene Springsteen; and his brother, Paul (Cindy) Carter;

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother-in-law, Mark Springsteen.
