William Lee Wailand passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at UnityPoint Health Trinity, Bettendorf, IA.

William was born on May 26, 1949, the son of William and Clara (Fields) Wailand. He married Patricia Green in Davenport on August 17, 1984, at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Davenport, IA. He worked as an over-the-rode truck driver for over 50 years, most recently for Amhof Trucking, Eldridge, IA, retiring in 2024.He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, fishing, models and playing video games.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia of Davenport, his children, Tina (Larry) Gibbs of South Carolina, William (Dawn) Wailand of Davenport, IA, Rhonda (Elbert) Myers of Bettendorf, Tracy (John) Mansell of Odessa, Missouri, Joy (Ed) Williams of Davenport, IA, Daniel (Sonya) Wailand of Jacksonville, Florida, Tina (Paul) Wailand-Hamre of Blue Grass, IA, Brett Wailand of Milan, IL, Alicia “Lucas”  Wailand of Des Moines, IA, Bridget Wailand of Andrew, IA, Nicholas Wailand of Ankeny, IA, Joshua Wailand of Des Moines, IA, Sierra Wailand of Davenport, IA, several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, brother,Michael Wailand of Davenport, IA and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Kristina Wailand and sisters, Jean Prunchak, Brenda Howard and Terry Rikke.
