Wilma L. Webb, 92, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Care Center, Davenport.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 25th at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa. Inurnment will take place on Friday, February 26th at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois. Family will greet friends on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the Scott County Humane Society. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home is assisting family with arrangements.
Wilma L. Sharpton was born on February 9, 1929 in Chanute, Kansas, the daughter of Walter and Mary (Applegate) Sharpton. She married Clarence Cheek in Dewey, Oklahoma in 1947. They were later divorced. She married Eugene Webb on October 25, 1975. He preceded her in death on November 4, 2009.
Wilma enjoyed reading crocheting and making crafts. She worked at Service Rubber in Rock Island for 11 years, retiring in 1979.
She is survived by her daughters, Regina (Robert) Moore of Davenport, Nancy Cheek of Davenport, and Donna VanDeKrol of Washington; her sons, Larry (Linda) Cheek of Moline, Illinois, Kenneth (Mary) Cheek of Washington, and Mark (Judy) Cheek of Cambridge, Illinois; her fourteen grandchildren, and her fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Phillip Cheek; her sister, Marilyn Fisher; her brothers, Don Sharpton, Keith Sharpton, and Gene Sharpton.
