Memorial services for Charles Robert Smith, 56, of Davenport, will be 11:00 am on Friday at Grandview Baptist Church, Davenport. Family will greet friends on Friday from 10:00 am to service time at the Church.

McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home is assisting family with arrangements.

Charles passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at his home in Davenport.

Charles R. Smith was born on January 22, 1965 in Davenport, the son of Leonard and Norma (Shippee) Smith. He attended Scott Community College where he received a degree in H.V.A.C. He worked at Genesis Medical Center and Trinity Hospitals as a H.V.A.C. Maintenance specialist, he also worked at I.B.P. as a production worker.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, football, cooking, N.A.S.C.A.R., baseball and spending time with his family, friends and his dog.

He is survived by his children; Michelle (Matt) Smith, Patricia “Trisha” (Karl) Riecke, Jacob Hess, Jesse (Kristy) Sperry, grandchildren; Colton, Madelyn, Paisley, Sophia, Ethan, Riley, Justis, Tyler, sisters; Diane (David) Milne, Dawn (Michael) Schroeder, two nephews, two nieces, two great-nephews, two great- nieces and special friends, Lisa and Eric Scott.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
