Cory Carpenter

Cory L. Carpenter, 51, of LeClaire, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Trinity UnityPoint in Bettendorf, Iowa.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf.  Those attending are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Cory was born on February 1, 1969 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Louis and Sandra (May) Carpenter.  He graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 1988.  Cory worked locally as an excavator and helped run Castle Excavating for over 20 years.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and was an avid Chicago Cubs, Bears and Iowa Hawkeyes fan.

Those left to honor his memory are his children, Allie (Jake) Tickle of Naperville, Illinois, Tanner Carpenter of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Bailey Carpenter of Bettendorf.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Louis Carpenter Jr.
