David Streets

A time of gathering for David L. Streets, 63, of Bettendorf, will be Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa. David passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Unity Point Health, Bettendorf, Iowa.

David L. Streets was born on April 28, 1958 in Aledo, Illinois, the son of Rodney and Lois (Sharer) Streets. He married Tracy (Smith) Jewell on November 26, 2004 in Bettendorf, Iowa.

David was proud to be a Journeyman Wireman. He worked for many contractors in the Bi-state area. He was a member of the IBEW Local 145 for over 40 years and served on the Executive Board for several years. He enjoyed going to the Chicago Bears games, gardening and yard work and especially going to his grandchildren’s sports games.

Survivors include his wife; Tracy of Bettendorf, Iowa,  children; Jennifer Streets of Morrison, Illinois, Jackie (Justin) Benningfield of Edwards, Illinois, Jarrod (Kim) Streets of Arcola, Texas,  Haley (Mark) Bowles of Geneseo, Illinois, Carly Jewell of Iowa City, Iowa, mother; Lois Streets of Dawn, Missouri, grandchildren; Gabe, Grace, Gavin, Georgia, Emmalea, Eleanor, Erik, Lena, Sophia, Ellie, sisters; Teresa (Mark) Sykes of Dawn, Missouri, Debbie Adrian of Gladstone, Missouri,  and brother; Bill (Sally) Streets of Galesburg, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney and nephew Scott Adrian.
