Erma Hill

Erma L. Hill, 61, a resident of Davenport, Iowa, died on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus in Davenport following a brief illness.

Visitation will be from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. on Friday at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Risen Christ Lutheran Church, 6021 Northwest Blvd. in Davenport.  Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, LeClaire, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the family.

Erma was born in Des Moines, Iowa on October 9, 1959, the daughter of Jack and Lillian (Piper) Boley.  She was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal in Information Technology, retiring in 2019 after 41 years of service.

Erma was a very loving and giving person. She was a member of Risen Christ Lutheran Church where she volunteered and donated for many events and occasions. Erma enjoyed celebrating every holiday with her family and friends, dressing for each special occasion. She especially enjoyed holiday baking, playing games and the companionship of her beloved children, grandchildren, family, and friends.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter, Meagan Buckley of Davenport; her son, Todd (Cassandra) Hill of Davenport; her grandchildren, Lucas, Wyatt, Abigail, Timothy, Zoey, Lillian, Chael and Lincoln; her father, Jack Boley of Davenport; her sister, Karen (Bill) Faris of Davenport; her brother, Stuart (Krystal) Boley of Des Moines; and her brother-in-law, Jim Boucher of Des Moines.

Erma was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Boley; and her sister, Ardyth Boucher.
