Janice Oberhart

A service to celebrate the life of Janice Gay Oberhart, 81, of Bettendorf, Iowa will be 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa. Family will greet friends on Saturday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the funeral home.

Janice passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at her home in Bettendorf, Iowa. Janice Gay Cooper was born on September 20, 1941, in Manson, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Mary (McLaughlin) Cooper. She worked at Genesis Medical Center for 44 years in the admitting and billing department until retiring in 2016.

Janice was a member of Cursillo Catholic Fellowship and the Bettendorf Volunteer Park Patrol. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and making baskets.

Survivors include her sons, Dave (Nancy) of Durham, North Carolina,and Darin (Renee) Oberhart of Bettendorf; seven grandchildren; sisters, JoAnn Vaught of Davenport, Artha Labath of Branson, Missouri, and brother, Michael Cooper of Twin Lakes, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel in 2017; grandson, Riley Oberhart in 2017; sisters, Rose Heyne, Patricia Hock, Charlene Vote and brother, Dennis Cooper.
