Joann R. Kuehl, 70, a resident of Donahue, Iowa passed away at her home on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 following an extended illness.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 15, 2005 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Long Grove, Iowa where she was a member. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the church. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Susan Bader Foundation or to Genesis Hospice. Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
She was born January 16, 1935 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Henry & Esther Brus. On October 29, 1955, she was united in marriage to Herbert Kuehl at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Davenport.
In earlier years, Joann was employed at Cen-Pe-Co of Walcott, Iowa.
In addition to the church, she was a member of the Dixon American Legion Auxillary.
Joann was a devoted homemaker, wife, mom & grandma who loved caring for her yard & flowers. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards with her many friends. Her beloved family members, especially her grandchildren were the joy in her life and she will always be fondly remembered by those she loved & those who loved her.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Herbert; her daughter & son-in-law, Michelle & Daniel Glunz of Long Grove; her son & daughter-in-law, Michael & Lisa Kuehl of Donahue; her grandchildren, Clint & Kara Glunz, Trevor & Tarynn Kuehl and Jeremy Timmerman; her sister & brother-in-law, Eunice & Wayne Ralfs of Bennett, Iowa; and her brother & sister-in-law, Eugene & Beth Brus of Blue Grass, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
