Wendy Boyer

Wendy L. Boyer, 57, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the services on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in Davenport.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Wendy was born on September 29, 1961 in Davenport, the daughter of Paul E., Jr. and Monie J. (Weatherly) Mooney.  She retired in 2004 as a Cardiac Charge Nurse with Genesis Medical Center, East Campus.  She had started her career with ManorCare on Locust Street in Davenport.

Wendy, known as Grammie to her grandchildren, enjoyed the time with her family.  An avid Garth Brooks fan, she collected Cherished Teddies and enjoyed shopping.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Whitney (Adam) Metz of Bettendorf, Amanda (Nick) McCrady of Walcott, Iowa, Emily (Eric) Anderson of Davenport and Morgan Robinson (Josh Castro) of Davenport; her mother, Monie Mooney of Bettendorf; her grandchildren, Carter McCrady, Avery Metz, Presley McCrady, Arya Anderson and Jude Paul Anderson; her step-grandchildren, Addison "A.J." Metz, Lexi Metz and Faith Metz; her sister, Penny Skinner of Davenport; her brother, Paul (Lonnie) Mooney, III of Keokuk, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Paul E. Mooney, Jr.; her soulmate, Mark Hill; her nephews, Paul E. Mooney, IV and Daniel Mooney; and her brother-in-law, Michael Skinner.
